Ongoing Commitment to the Council for International Development (CID) as an Affiliate Member

Our ongoing commitment to the Council for International Development (CID) in New Zealand as the first Private Sector affiliate member.

In 2023 Tetra Tech International Development became the first private sector organisation to join the Council for International Development in New Zealand Aotearoa as an affiliate member. This membership was a significant step in Tetra Tech International Development’s ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable development and fostering meaningful partnerships together with our neighbours across the Pacific region.

Becoming a member of CID has opened a wealth of opportunities for us to collaborate with a diverse network of organisations dedicated to international development. The Council’s emphasis on transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in development work aligns with our core values and mission to support thriving people, thriving communities, and a thriving planet.

Our partnership with CID not only aligns us with New Zealand’s efforts to drive meaningful development initiatives but also enables us to benefit from the collective expertise and knowledge within the CID community. By working together, we are better positioned to make a significant, lasting impact on the communities we serve.

We are thrilled to announce that we are again sponsoring the upcoming CID Conference, this year as the Premier Sponsor.

As the Premier Sponsor of the upcoming sold-out CID Conference, taking place on 4-5 September in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand, we are excited to support this significant event for the international development and humanitarian aid sectors. This year’s conference, titled “Global Development: Competing Priorities in a Conflicted World,” will bring together international NGOs, multilateral organisations, government departments, businesses, and academics to address pressing global issues.

We look forward to engaging in crucial discussions and fostering collaborations that will shape the future of international development. I am honoured to be appearing as a panellist in the session “Geo-politics, Security & Development in the Pacific.” Additionally, Rosanna McDonald will moderate the session on “Free & Independent Media in the Pacific Region.”

We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the dynamic exchanges at the conference, and to further our shared goal of creating positive, enduring change.
