National Reconciliation Week

It’s National Reconciliation Week in Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples come together to learn about how we as individuals, communities and workplaces can support reconciliation between all Australians.

We held our first ever #NRW2019 event with a morning tea at Tetra Tech International Development we were deeply moved and inspired by our guest speaker, Clyde Rigney Snr, who – along with his son and our friend and mentor Clyde Rigney – brought our attention to those things that common to each of us and our communities: connection to land and waters, language, law, kinship and ceremony. These shared experiences along with a history both told and untold are what connect us, and what help to lead us in our journey to reconciliation.
